A standard Bedford CF commercial van which was converted by Fulton and Wylie of Irvine into a Light Fire Appliance. This was one of a batch of five.
Its first station was Castlebay on the Isle of Barra where it served from 1986 until the nineties when it was moved to Tongue. It served there until 2001 when it became a reserve motor until being disposed of in 2003.
Capable of carrying a crew of six it also had a 90 gallon water tank with a hose-reel mounted on top of it and a featherweight pump plumbed in. The "featherweight" pump could be easily disconnected if it was required to pump from a river or a dam etc. It also had the obligatory Banana Pump commonly found on Volunteer Units and a Stirrup Pump for their commonest turnout, a chimney fire.
