Message: Hi Guys
Thank you for the warm welcome that you gave us during our visit today. We had been to some of the sites on the Heritage Trail in Glasgow with the museum being one of the highlights of our tour.
We are serving firefighters from Dundee and your exhibits brought back memories of my early days which initiated some story telling on our way back to Dundee.
We will make sure that our colleagues are aware of the museum and will encourage people to visit - good luck with the restoration of the appliance from Rossie.
I will definitely be back for another visit soon. Take care and keep up the good work!

Message: Thank you very much indeed for the extremely generous cheque for 1100 Pounds, which Capt Tony Williams forwarded to the charity, following the Royal Regiment of Scotland Band's playing at your concert in October. I am delighted that the concert has also again allowed the Band to showcase their talents in a public concert setting - something of which there has been slightly less during the sometimes frenetic operational pace of the last 10 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Combined with the SF&RS's equally generous donation last year, I can assure that this makes a huge difference to the lives of soldiers, veterans and their families in Scotland. Typically the charity helps about 750 cases (i.e. an individual and/or family) every year, the vast majority of which are one-off occasions of need where often a few hundred pounds can unlock what can otherwise turn into a rapidly downward spiral. Your donation therefore makes a very substantial difference. Thank you so much for your support. Please pass on my thanks to all those involved in running the concert

Just wanted to say thank you for Finlay's visit to the Fire Museum yesterday, he really enjoyed the visit and had a great time telling his Mummy and Daddy all about the fire engines he had seen and also all the things he had done. We watched the DVD with Finlay after tea and thought it was very interesting.
Finlay went home to Frankfurt today, taking his fire engines & DVD with him. Mummy didn't have enough space to take his fire helmet, so Granda & Grandma will take that out with them on there next visit.
Donald & I also found it very interesting and we would also like to thank you for taking the time out to show us around. It was much appreciated.
Kind regards

Message: Thank you so much for such an interesting and enjoyable visit to the Fire Station Museum on Tuesday, and for the photos which my sister has just forwarded to me.
It was great to see where and how they worked all that time ago, and really brought it to life - well almost!
I especially liked when we were standing in the entrance courtyard and you showed us where some of the firefighters and families once lived. It was the anecdote our Gran told me when I was a child that she'd been brought up over the Greenock Fire Station that years later started us off on the
ancestor trail.
We had a very useful day yesterday too, finding a family grave in the cemetery with lots of names on, and walked round all the street we had addresses for. Even though most of the actual property had been demolished
there was an excellent DVD of pre-1970s Greenock in the museum.
All in all, we felt our trip was a great success and we found everyone very helpful and friendly. Good for Greenock!
Thank you again

I would just like to express how we enjoyed a visit to the above in Greenock on a recent stop over on a cruise ship visit.
We came across the museum almost by accident whilst returning to the ship and it proved to be one of the most memorable moments of the entire holiday.
You could do with some more signs etc. as the place is a gem, one outside the town hall would have a massive impact.
Many thanks to the staff who assisted in our visit and questions especially to the officer who kindly opened the front door so my wife could have her picture taken with the Dennis unit which she related to from her girl guide days and fire badge.
Once again a first class place to visit really interesting.

I also enjoyed when the big cage went up on the fire engine I liked it because it was up really really high! We went to visit the office in the station and we met some real life firemen there and the firemen told us about their jobs. Out in the back of the fire station we worked in an adults group and shot a tennis ball off of the top of a bucket using the big fire hose.
Thank you very much for the visit to the museum. I had lots of fun!

Message: What an amazing array of equipment! I can't imagine what an effort and expense must be required to house and maintain it all. I never imagined there would be so much, and covering quite a number of years too. Both of my brothers are retired firefighters; I'll see to it that they get a link to your website. You are to be commended. Keep up the good work!

Message: I live in canada, so some of these vehicles are quite different than what we have. There are, however, some very interesting trucks and vehicles. I love history, and older pieces of history like these really appeal to me. Very cool, and good luck keeping it going!

Message: Congratulations on the reinvented web site - I can only begin to guess how many hours the web site sub-group put into this project and would like to place on record my thanks to them all in creating this "window" for the world to share in our enjoyment.
